The Gulf of Mexico Climate and Resilience Community of Practice Annual Meeting provides a forum for sharing climate and resilience science, interacting with visualization tools, sharing communication tips, and learning what communitiesare doing to enhance resilience.  These are just a few reasons why members of this network say it’s their “favorite meeting” of the year, a “good place for networking”, and “great to hear examples from other communities.”  No wonder this network has been going strong for eight years!  The 2017 meeting was hosted by Louisiana Sea Grant and the City of Covington and brought together over 60 education, outreach, and extension professionals with local government staff for an in-person exchange of ideas and best practices.
